Hi there! I’m Marcia Mendoza, a Medical Herbalist Consultant and an award-winning STEM teacher who’s passionate about all things health, science, and education.
I’m a proud member of the College of Phytotherapy Practitioners and hold a BSc in biochemistry and physiology, an MSc in comparative physiology, and a postgraduate certificate in higher education (because learning never stops, right?).
My career has been an exciting adventure! I’ve worked as a veterinary microbiologist for the Ministry of Agriculture in Trinidad and Tobago and as a transplant immunologist for the NHS. For years, I was also a senior lecturer at the University of Westminster, helping train some of today’s amazing medical herbalists, and I’ve been a visiting clinical trainer at the University of East London.
These days, my passion lies in supporting communities, both here in the UK and abroad, by promoting true health education. I work with lifestyle centres and professional networks to help spread knowledge about wellness and natural health. I’m especially proud to be involved in organising health initiatives for the local community, focusing on those who need it most, like the homeless and those living in temporary accommodation.
